Double-circuit Electronic Control Panel
The single-circuit electronic control panel supplied as a standard accessory in the delivery of Solartek Forced Air Circulation Package System will control solely the circuit between the solar collector and the double-serpentine boiler. Under normal conditions, the control of the circuit between the boiler and the auxiliary heat source (combi boiler or boiler) will be realized by the control modules mounted on said apparatus. Where, however, said apparatus are not equipped with such control modules, a double-circuit control panel must be used.
As also shown in the figure given, the temperature data designated by T-1, T-2, and T-3 as detected by Pt-1000 type sensors will be compared by the electronic control panel in terms of differential temperature. According to factory adjustments, when the temperature difference between the sensor (T-1) mounted on the collector and the sensor (T-2) provided adjacent to the lower serpentine of boiler exceeds the value of 8K, the control panel will send a signal to the pump (P-1) to operate so that the energy stored in the collector will be transferred to the boiler. Thus, after a while the temperature of water in the boiler will reach a value close to the temperature of water in the collector. When the temperature difference reaches a value of 4K, the operation of the pump (P-1) will be stopped by the control panel. As long as the amount of solar energy available is adequate, the same operational steps will be repeated continuously to heat the water contained in the boiler.
During the periods where the amount of solar energy available is inadequate to heat the water in the boiler to the desired temperature, the operation of the auxiliary heat source (boiler or combi boiler ) will be realized according to the value of temperature detected by the sensor (T-3) provided adjacent to the upper serpentine of boiler. The adjustment value of temperature of the water in the boiler will be compared by the value of temperature detected by said sensor (T-3). Then, until the desired value of temperature is reached, the pump (P-2) provided between the boiler and the auxiliary heat source will be kept operating by the electronic control panel.
