Why Solar Energy?

Today, energy resources are classified under three headings:

  1. Fossil energy resources;
  2. New energy resources;
  3. Renewable energy resources.

Fossil energy resources like coal, oil, natural gas, and etc. are formed as a result of the alteration of layers that occur in reaction to the piling of the plants and other living creatures that are stuck underground in the marsh areas. New energy resources like uranium, boron, thorium and hydrogen are the energy resources which have the potential and are being used more frequently depending on the technological advances. And renewable energy resources like solar and wind power are resources that are thought to be relatively infinite and endless.

  • The origin of all energies of the world is the Solar Energy; considering alternative energy resources, solar energy constitutes a very significant potential.
  • Solar energy is clean, it does not create environmental problems, it does not produce harmful wastes, and it does not threaten the health of humans and other living creatures.
  • Solar energy has no transportation problem, it does not require transfer lines, and it comes to the point of use all by itself.
  • Solar energy is a guaranteed product, its quality is continuous, and it does not change.
  • Solar energy is infinite; it has a lifespan that is longer than the whole lifespan of the earth.
  • Solar energy prevent dependency to foreign sources, it is in no country’s sole trade or monopoly.
  • Energy is an important matter that affects all of the countries. The countries who will be able to improve its energy resources will accomplish development; and others who don’t, will disintegrate in time.
